PRESCRIPTION INFORMATION

Terms found on a Prescription.

O.D.: This abbreviation refers to your RIGHT EYE.

O.S.: This abbreviation refers to your LEFT EYE.

Base Curve (BC): Refers to inside curve of your Contact Lens.
The values of BASE CURVE are typically 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 etc.

Diameter (Dia): Refers to the overall size of your Contact Lens.
The values of Diameter are typically 13.8, 14.0, 14.2, 14.4, 14.5 etc.

Power (Sphere): Refers to the strength of your Contact Lens. Negative
powers indicate NEARSIGHTEDNESS, while Plus powers indicate FAR SIGHTEDNESS.
The values of Power are typically -1.00, -1.25, +1.50, +3.00 etc.

Cylinder (Cyl): Refers to the strength of your astigmatism. This value is only seen in people with Astigmatism who require TORIC lenses.
The values of Cylinder are typically -0.75, -1.00, -1.25, -1.50, -1.75 etc.

Axis : Refers to the location of your astigmatism.. This value is only seen in people with Astigmatism who require TORIC lenses.
The values of Axis are typically 180, 170, 160, 090, 080 etc.

Add : Refers to the strength of your reading prescription. This value is only seen in people with Presbyopia who require Bifocal or Progressive lenses.
The values of Add are typically +1.00,1.25, +1.50, +1.75 etc.

Pack Size: Refers to the number of lenses per box the same parameters (SAME PRESCRIPTION, BASE CURVE and DIAMETER etc).
The values of Pack Size are typically 3, 6, 30, etc..
