Originally established by Anne and Tony Gibson in 1971, we have been providing quality optometric care to Mitcham for over 43 years. Since the early days of A & A Gibson Optometrists, our 'family' has grown to a dedicated team of 4 optometrists, an optical dispenser and 2 support staff who pride themselves on providing professional, independent advice with a focus on primary eyecare. Our practice is 100% owned by registered optometrists with a collective professional experience of over 80 years. We are all therapeutically endorsed and maintain memberships with The Optometrists Association of Australia, The Australian College of Optometry, The Contact Lens Society of Australia and The Orthokeratology Society of Australia.
The practice has the latest diagnostic and digital imaging equipment including an OCT, Corneal Topographer, Medmont Perimeter and Digital Fundus cameras. Working closely with an extensive network of local GPs and specialists allows us to provide comprehensive care and enable early detection and management of eye diseases such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and Cataract. We fit all types of contact lenses from simple disposables to complex Keratoconic, Post-Graft and Orthokeratology.
Spectacles are dispensed on-site in our fully equipped laboratory, ensuring prompt service of the highest quality.
