CONTACT LENSES

At Eyecare Plus, we know that not all contact lenses are equal. Our skilled optometrists conduct thorough eye exams and contact lens fittings to ensure you receive the perfect prescription contact lenses for you.

While ordering contact lenses online seems like an easy choice, it is important to understand that every prescription contact lens is a unique product designed for a specific purpose. That is why, in Australia, contact lenses are regarded as a medical device.

The optometrists and eyecare professionals at Eyecare Plus do more than sell contact lenses. They fit your contact lenses based on your prescription, eye shape and lifestyle. Eyecare Plus provides health care with a focus on protecting your eyes and ensuring you have all you need for good vision and comfortable wear.

Which type of prescription contact lens is right for you? It depends on three things: vision correction, lifestyle, and comfort.

Daily disposable contacts

Daily disposable contacts are the most comfortable and the most often prescribed type of contact lens prescribed in Australia. These lenses are thrown away at the end of each day, so no maintenance is needed.

Daily contact lenses

Daily contact lenses are reusable, but they must be taken out and sterilized every night before you go to bed. Depending on the brand, these lenses are replaced about every two weeks.

Monthly contact lenses/ Extended Wear

Monthly contact lenses – sometimes called ‘extended wear’ contact lenses – are comfortable to wear for up to one month. They need to be removed, cleaned, and put in a storage case each night before going to sleep.
