History

Eyecare Plus Optometrist Charters Towers is owned by husband and wife optometrists, Tom & Alison Bennett. They took over the 20 year old practice in 2010 from the previous owner, Merrilee Melville.

Situated in one of Charters Towers' heritage homes, the practice offers all of the latest eyecare technology, in a relaxed country setting.

Our Optometrists

Tom Bennett
BApSci(Optom)(Hons)
Tom studied optometry at the Queensland University of Technology and graduated with honours in 2004. He has previously worked in a variety of optometry practices in Kingaroy, Gympie, Brisbane, Proserpine and Townsville.

Alison Bennett
BApSci(Optom)(Hons)
Alison studied optometry at the Queensland University of Technology and graduated with honours in 2004. She has previously worked in optometry practices in Kingaroy, Brisbane and Townsville. She has also worked alongside Ophthalmologists (eye doctors) in Brisbane and in rural Queensland.
