About Us

Michael Hare commenced practice with Brian Job Optical in 1977, at the current Southport location and continues the tradition of an unbroken line of optometry services that dates back to the 1950s.

Prior to taking over complete control and ownership of the current Southport and Benowa practices of Visions by Brian Job Optical, Michael was the senior partner in what was for many years, Queensland’s largest privately owned optometry practice.

He and his team provide a special level of personalised optometry care that is totally focussed on providing an unsurpassed optometry experience.

State of the art equipment at both Southport and Benowa allows the provision of digital retinal and slit lamp biomicroscope photography, ocular coherence tomography (OCT), Optos wide-field retinal scanning, visual field analysis, corneal topography and pachymetry. Such a level of instrumentation allows the team of Vision Michael Hare to detect and monitor conditions such as cataract, glaucoma and macular degeneration.
