Yes. Eye conditions are actually the most frequent cause of headaches. Your doctor may refer you to an optometrist as the first step in resolving frequent or painful headaches.
Optometrists are trained to diagnose and treat vision conditions like farsightedness, nearsightedness and astigmatism, as well as fit and prescribe contact lenses and prescription eyeglass lenses. A large part of their job is to perform refractions (vision correction exams).
Experienced, skilled optometrists can diagnose and advise on a broad range of medical conditions that impact the eye, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, retinal disease and ocular disorders associated with diabetes and high blood pressure.
An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor that specialises in eye disease.
Some parents become aware that their children cannot see properly or may often bump into furniture. However, the best way to determine if your child has a vision problem is to schedule an eye exam (covered by Medicare).
Dream Lenses are an easy, comfortable and safe way to change your lifestyle – they give you sharper vision all day without the need for spectacles and contact lenses.
Optometrist Tibor Weisz employes the latest computer diagnostic technology to assess your suitability for Dream Lenses, then chooses the best local and imported super oxygen permeable contact lenses to gently reshape your cornea overnight.
No surgery. Reversible. Dream Lenses progressively change the surface of the cornea while you sleep, so you’ll be free of glasses or contact lenses during waking hours.
Weisz Family Optical offers optical sunglasses, safety glasses/goggles and specialised sports glasses for cycling, parasailing and a range of other activities.
