• Exceptional customer service skills in a fast-paced environment

• 1+ years in optical dispensing
• Optical Dispensing Certificate IV is highly desired, but not essential

About the role

Your daily duties will include but not be limited to:

• Booking appointments and handling front of shop reception duties
• Helping customers choose frames and taking measurements to ensure that glasses are correctly made
• Interpreting optical prescriptions, recommending lens options and consulting our customers to identify their needs and provide personalised solutions
• Fitting and servicing glasses – providing adjustments or repairs where needed
• Supporting the Optometrist in patient care
• Contribute to our fun and happy environment

Independent Optometry Practice

Schedule: Part-Time

We are a small, friendly team looking for a receptionist/optical assistant to work 3-4 days per
week with hours 9-5 each day.

About the Role

It would be advantageous to have experience in 1 or more areas, have excellent customer
service and be proficient using computer programs. A willingness to learn new skills would be
encouraged and all training will be provided. Flexibility to cover holiday and sick leave would be
beneficial

F. & R. Optometrists (Eyecare Plus Cranbourne) has been proudly caring for local families for over 45 years. As a trusted independent practice, we’re passionate about providing personalised and independant eyecare in a relaxed and friendly environment.

In November, we’ll be saying a heartfelt goodbye to a much loved optical dispenser who’s retiring after 30 wonderful years. As such, we’re looking for a capable optical dispenser or optical receptionist/assistant to join our close knit team.

The role includes a mix of optical dispensing and general reception duties. You’ll have the space to work independently while being fully supported by our experienced optometrists and warm, welcoming front of house team. We pride ourselves on fostering a family friendly workplace – there are no sales targets or pressure here, just a genuine focus on helping people see and feel their best. Salary is commensurate with experience.

About The Role

The Full Time role includes:

• Selecting spectacle frames for patients
• General reception duties (for example, making patient appointments, answering phone calls, process medicare rebates and payments etc).
• Fielding patient enquiries

Skills / Requirements

• Ability to multi task in a busy environment – you will often be helping more than one patient at the same time
• Experience in the optical industry is preferred but not essential – we are looking for the right person
• Display a high level of organisational skills
• Display high level of personalised patient care that our family owned practice is well known for (we see children through to the elderly).
• Ability to work Saturday mornings (9-12pm) is an advantage
