Spectacles for the Disadvantaged
Often there are people with a need for spectacles but who are not able to afford the cost, or part of it. Some state governments provide limited assistance for people in need. Please talk to our staff and they will be pleased to explain the eligibility requirements and how to make an application.

The 17 Nerang Street Southport site has been an optometry practice since 1962. The purpose built location houses one of Queensland’s most comprehensive optometry practices – with four consulting rooms and an optical laboratory it is one of the largest optometry practices under one roof in the state.
Our state-of-the-art equipment allows the provision of digital retinal and slit lamp biomicroscope photography, ocular coherence tomography (OCT), visual field analysis, corneal topography and pachymetry, allowing our team to detect and monitor conditions such as cataract, glaucoma and macular degeneration.
