About Us

Our practice was established almost 30 years ago, and as such we have a longstanding history of high quality eye care in the Newcastle Hunter region.

We have won "Outstanding Optometry Practice of the Year" in 2004, 2006 and 2009.

Our Optometrists

Mark Long BOptom
Mark received his qualification at the University of New South Wales and has nearly 30 years experience as an optometrist. He is a member of the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia and the Optometrists Association of Australia.

Brian Adams BOptom (Hons and the University Medal), Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics
Brian also graduated from the University of New South Wales and he has almost ten years experience in the field of optometry.

He is a member of both the Optometrists Association of Australia and the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia.

Brian also has a Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics from the University of New South Wales.

Location (Off-street Parking)

The practice is conveniently located in downtown Newcastle in the inner city suburb of The Junction (just south of the CBD). We are alongside The Junction Fair Shopping Centre in Union Street.

Please take advantage of our off street parking behind our building. (The entrance is next to Video Ezy on Kenrick Street. Then drive to the end of the main car park and turn left into our car park)

Our Team

Our optometrists Mark and Brian were both born and raised in Newcastle. Mark established the practice almost 30 years ago and began caring for Brian's eyes when Brian was only 10 years of age. About twenty years later Brian graduated as an optometrist and began working alongside Mark.

Julie, Michelle and Moira are our optical assistants and have collectively 55 years experience in the optical industry.
